I believe in the Holy Bible. The last book of the bible is the book of Revelation. This book describes some pretty horrific events that will happen to this world before Jesus returns. Things will only get worse before they get better. None of us can be truly prepared for the end of days without getting to know the Ancient of Days (Daniel 7:9). We need to confess Jesus as the Lord of All. Placing our total trust in God.

How do we go about preparing  ourselves for the “end times”, in order to survive until our savior gets here? I will list some tips here:

Water

1. WATER – You neewater first. That will be your number one priority. You need to make sure your drinking water is safe so that you don’t end up contracting and of the multiple diseases you can get from dirty water such as dysentery, arsenicosis and typhoid. Boiling works the best but it uses up a great deal of fuel. If you can acquire some iodine tablets and bleach (sodium hypochlorite) or even

swimming pool chlorine (calcium hypochlorite) which would need to be diluted in order to disinfect the dirty/suspect water. Sunshine can even be used to keep you safely hydrated. Using solar disinfection comes recommended by the World Health Organisation in many developing nations. Simply fill up some cleaned out plastic bottles and then leave them o

ut in the sunlight (the UV rays from the sun will pass directly through the water killing the pathogens in about a day or so).

2. SHELTER – Shelter is the next important necessity. This particular write-up will be dealing with an individual who is constantly on the move so I won’t be going into permanent structures or underground shelters. You will need a temporary shelter that can protect you from the dangers of volatile climate conditions. Dangerous conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, wind and rain. Your shelter needs to create its own microclimate where you can rest, sleep and hide from various threats. Your shelter will also be the base where you store your water, your food and your other essential equipment needs.

3. STOCKPILE ESSENTIALS – Start storing away some items now in a safe place. Food will be pretty important so gather up various food items such as water, MRE’s (U.S. Military Meals-Ready-to-Eat), peanut butter, honey, white rice, pasta, beans, beef jerky, food ration bars, salt, survival seeds, canned tuna in oil, canned food, powdered milk, freeze-dried food, vegetable oil, canned butter, oatmeal, baking soda, vodka, apple cider vinegar, drink mixes, dog/cat food.
Personal hygiene products to avoid health problems. You’ll need toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, floss, toilet paper, wet wipes, feminine hygiene products, soap, deodorant and breath mints.
For power and heat you’ll also need batteries, matches, lighters, candles, wood, flashlights, fuel and fire starters (trioxane bars, hexamine tablets, fire sticks, wet fire, fire paste and fire starter squares.
Medical supplies will be critical so stock up on bandaids, Isreal bandages, face masks, asprin, advil, antiseptic, bactine, bug spray, anti-itch lotion, nitrile gloves and any over the counter medications you can think of.
Items for self defense will also be a necessity. Quite simply you’ll need guns, knives, weapons and ammunition.
Lastly, here are some miscellaneous but helpful items. Chlorine bleach/pool shock, plastic tarps, underwear, socks, duct tape, compass, maps, tin foil, trash bags, fire extinguishers and coffee filters.
