Jesus Christ – the One True God, the King of All Creation and the Ultimate High Priest.
Who is Jesus?
To me, Jesus is the answer to every book of the Bible. It is even put together in the order of His life. From the book of Genesis, I see Jesus as the seed of a woman, the second Adam, the Messiah and the entire book of Genesis as a parallel to His birth coinciding with the meaning of the word, Genesis. Then to the book of Exodus, I see Jesus as the Burning Bush (in the midst of the Burning Bush), the Name of God, the Passover Lamb and the manna from Heaven and a parallel to His baptism as the Perfect Sacrifice (Lamb of God) on the Perfect Altar (Jordan River – one of the only altars built for praise) at the hands of the Perfect Priest (John, the last High Priest of the Old Testament) chosen by God to pass the sin of the world into the Passover Lamb. To the book of Leviticus, where Jesus is the atonement in the Levite book of Worship paralleling Jesus worshiping 40 days and nights in the wilderness. Jesus is the Cloud, the Fire, the Bronze Serpent, the Water from the Rock in the book of Numbers which parallels His Temptation on the last day in the wilderness. I could go on and on through each and every book up to Revelation which reveals Him in His resurrected Glory. But I believe I made my point.
What is the title of Jesus?
God makes a promise to David: “And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.” – 2 Samuel 7:12
“I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men…” – 2 Samuel 7:14
“And thine house and thy kingdom, shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.” – 2 Samuel 7:16
“I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou (art) my Son; this day have I begotten thee.” – Psalm 2:7
“Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what [is] his name, and what [is] his son’s name, if thou canst tell?” – Proverbs 30:4
These are just a few Old Testament verses referring to the Son of God. Not to mention the common verses we hear about at Christmas such as Isaiah 7:14 and Isaiah 9:6.
What explains it best to me is actually the translation of God’s Holy Name.
YHWH is the personal name given for God. Translating the Paleo Hebrew tells us a story as it is a picture language. The YHWH is read from right to left: Hey-Vav-Hey-Yod. The Hey (Man in praise) Divine Breath, Spirit, Revelation, Light. The Vav (Nail/Tent Peg/Hook) Divine Connection, Binding, Hooking, Nailing of Heaven and Earth in a Revelation of Perfect Faith. Again, another Hey (Man in praise) Divine Breath, Spirit, Revelation, Light. Followed by the Yod (Open Hand, part of Forearm) Reaching Out/To/or For Something, the First/Spark/Atom, ALL, Power and Presence. These characters together tell the entire story of the Bible. The Creator Father (#1) took on the form of His creation and knelt in prayer. His ten (10) fingers of power came together. In the palms of His hands His perfect idea of creation manifested. He opened the window from Heaven (His unseen place) and thrust forth His right hand of power, opening it and unleashing the spark of His plan into the void created when He withdrew into a form. The spark would be revealed in the form of His perfect creation as an embryo of the ideal Man in Praise. The culmination of His plan is nailed down as a revelation of perfect faith. A perfect man filled with Gods light, blood and breath. This ideal man (atman) will be wounded for our transgressions. His wounds will profess His perfect faith. With His opened blood vessels and opened air ways, He will be an example of perfect faith bringing Heaven and Earth together when His coffin and tomb are opened (a complete definition of emunah) and He is revealed as the Son of the Father completing the cycle of creation with salvation. The complete cycle of Jewish thought which always includes God, Truth, Faith, Punishment, Sacrifice and Reward.
The YHWH is also what we get when we translate the Hebrew to English. However, we use the Latin version of His Name Jesus. I researched the translation from Hebrew to Latin and we get IEUE and the masculine version is IESUES (JESUS) instead of YHWH which also shows that He has His Father’s Name.
As amazing and perfect is the name YHWH, there is a name which we are commanded to worship.
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” – Philippians 2:9-11
Jesus is an equal part of the one true God – the triune God. I believe that we are made in His Image and with that being said, we exist as a mind, body and soul. God the Father is the mind and by His Word all things were made. Jesus is the body, born of human flesh to be perfect Man and perfect God. The great Mediator between God and man. The Holy Spirit is the Soul of God calling to us and equipping us with His Grace in order to live out our faith.
